Hey, Jeff here. Just wanted to give you a quick update on what's been happening with My Guys.

We're growing. My Toyota Tacoma just came back from getting fully wrapped, and Chris's big Chevy is over there getting the same treatment right now. Our team has expanded too—it's not just Chris and me anymore. We've got four installers working with us: Ryan, Jackson, Dennis, and Dylan. They're the ones doing the hard work every day, getting crawl spaces encapsulated and floor supports installed.

As we grow, we're being intentional about staying visible in the community and keeping the same standards that got us here. That's what the truck wraps are about. That's what this whole update is about.

We're getting bigger, but we're not changing who we are or how we operate. Let me explain what I mean.

Meet the Team That's Making It Happen

When Chris and I started My Guys, it was literally just the two of us. We've known each other since fourth grade, grew up here in Mahomet, and we were handling everything—inspections, installations, cleanup, the whole deal.

Now we've got Ryan, Jackson, Dennis, and Dylan working with us. These guys are doing the real heavy lifting. They're the ones in the crawl spaces every day, installing vapor barrier, setting floor supports, making sure everything is done right.

Growing from two people to six is a big step. But here's what hasn't changed: Chris or I are still involved in every single job. We're not sitting in an office somewhere sending crews out and hoping for the best. We're on site. We're checking the work. We're making sure our standards are being met.

That's intentional. We've seen what happens when companies grow too fast and lose control of quality. Crews start cutting corners because nobody's watching. Jobs get rushed because there's always another one waiting. Standards slip.

We're not doing that. We're growing at a pace that lets us maintain the same level of quality we've always had. That means staying hands-on. That means keeping the team small enough that we know every person, every job, every detail.

We're building something sustainable here, not just trying to get as big as possible as fast as possible.

Why Visibility Matters (and What It Means for Accountability) 

Here's something most people don't think about with vehicle wraps: they make you accountable in ways you can't escape.

When our trucks are clearly branded and driving around Mahomet every day, we're representing My Guys everywhere we go. Stopped at a red light. Parked outside the grocery store. Sitting in the driveway of a job site. People see us. They know who we are.

That means we can't afford to drive like jerks. We can't leave job sites messy. We can't rush through work and hope nobody notices. Because somebody's always watching, and they know exactly who we are.

Choosing Aftershock to wrap our trucks was an easy decision. They're right here in Mahomet, they do excellent work, and we believe in supporting our neighbors.

We could've saved money going with some national company or ordering vinyl online and doing it ourselves. But that's not how we think about business.

We're still treating every crawl space like it's under our own house. Still doing thorough inspections. Still cleaning up completely when we're done. Still installing proper lighting throughout. Still refusing to cut corners just to move on to the next job faster.

The only thing that's changed is capacity. We can take on more jobs now without making people wait months for an inspection. We can serve more families in Central Illinois. But the standards? The personal touch? The owner-operated approach? That's all staying exactly the same.

Quality over quantity. That's not just something we say. It's how we're building this business, one job at a time.
